- We take this accident very seriously and think what has happened is immensely tragic. Our thoughts is with the deceased and their relatives. One of the dead was employed at port of Oslo and we have to take care of our employees at this time, says port director Anne Sigrid Hamran. A little after 1 pm March 24th, a train from the Alnabru terminal ran uncontrolled through the port area on the port's railway track. The train derailed and hit the check in / check out building by the entrance to the Ormsund container terminal. It also hit a towboat lying at quay. Port of Oslo was not given any warnings before the accident.
