Energy reductionIn 2005, Port of Oslo initiated an energy reduction programme. Since then, Port of Oslo has reduced its energy consumption by 20 per cent and reduced the consumption of electricity by 30 per cent (kWh/m2). Water usage has also been a priority. A 48 per cent reduction was achieved in those buildings where water consumption was recorded. Efficacious use of energy and water is important as it contributes to both environmental and pecuniary savings. Aiming for further reductions, the energy reduction programme continues. |
