ISO 14001 certificate

Port of Oslo has been certified after the ISO 14001 standard for environmental management systems since 2001. The ISO 14001 standard entails a systematic approach to the environmental work, and requires continuous improvement on our environmental performance. Annual audits, internal and external, control our compliance to the standard's requirements. From 2010, the external audit is conducted by Teknologisk Institutt.

The Port of Oslo's location right in the middle of the city makes it an integral part of the cityscape. The port is surrounded by commercial, industrial and residential stakeholders. Therefore, there is substantial pressure and concerns on environmental issues, alongside with the responsibility of keeping the port clean. The ISO 14001 standard has been instrumental in managing our environmental responsibilities.
